This series of 17 talks looks at what we should expect if we are to become faithful and effective disciples of Jesus. Being a disciple means encountering hardship, cost, being hated by the world and dealing with affliction. It also requires us to address issues in our own character. This is done through endurance and perseverance, as well as self denial. We need to be realistic about what to expect, if we are to succeed in our objective of growing in the character of a disciple.
